Jay Hind to all who are visiting this web-site. This site is developed by me (Nitin Tripathi) and my wife Vandana Tripathi. I am a resident of district Unnao (The birth district of Chandra Shekhar) originally, now live in Houston, TX, US. Once I was searching for the life stories of great freedom fighters, who devoted their lives for Indian Freedom. And to my great disappointment, I did not find much information about these larger than life legends. Hence comes this site.

Pat Helland's weblog opens with "service vs. system"
------------------------------------------------------
Posted By: Ted Neward on March 15, 2004 @ 12:05 PM

Pat Helland, Microsoft Architect Extraordinaire, has started a weblog on weblogs.asp.net, and has opened his weblog with a great discussion of the etymology of the all-too-fuzzy terms "service" and "system" (and a little about "application", as well). Though you'd think these are straightforward to identify, turns out it's tricky.

So instead of trying to hammer home his definitions up front, he instead goes for that extra layer of indirection just to keep things straight: he calls them "Foo"s and "Bar"s, until we can get past the confusion, anyway.

An excellent primer for anybody who's ever wondered what a service is, and how services relate to the stuff you ship at the end of the day.

Book Description

A Timely Gift From the Author of Who Moved My Cheese?
Spencer Johnson, M.D.

Dr. Spencer Johnson’s stories of timeless, simple truths have changed the work and lives of millions of readers around the world. Now comes an insightful new tale of inspiration and practical guidance for these turbulent times.

The Present

The Present is the best gift you can receive because it makes you happy and successful!
Whether it means …
• Having peace of mind and feeling more alive; or
• Being more productive and more prosperous; or
• Finding whatever is important to you and to those you work and live with.

The Present

The Gift that Makes You Happy and Successful at Work and in Life

For over two decades, Spencer Johnson has been inspiring and entertaining millions with his simple yet insightful stories of work and life that speak directly to the heart and soul.

The Present is an engaging story of a young man’s journey to adulthood, and his search for The Present, a mysterious and elusive gift he first hears about from a great old man. This Present, according to the old man, is “the best present a person can receive.”

Later, when the young boy becomes a young man, disillusioned with his work and his life, he returns to ask the old man, once again, to help him find The Present. The old man responds, “Only you have the power to find The Present for yourself.” So the young man embarks on a tireless search for this magical gift that holds the secret to his personal happiness and business success. It is only after the young man has searched high and low and given up his relentless pursuit that he relaxes and discovers The Present—and all of the promises it offers.

The Present will help you focus on what will make you happy and successful in your work and in your personal life. Like the young man, you may find that it is the best gift you can ever give yourself.
Yesterday learnt ( heard from a friend ) a fantastic way of programming....rather code generators... the program logic is made as an XML file and the given to the code generator ..which can generate the required code in required language. Such code are standard and maintain consistency and dose not depend on each programmers' style of coding etc etc.....

Kris Thompson's Weblog

Younger kids getting use to software flaws I couldn't believe it myself when the other day I was watching my 2 year old play his Sesame street games, which are Flash based, and quite often they crash the browser. When it does happen he knows how to cancel the "Send error report" request and open a new browser and get back to the game. Neither I or my wife showed him how to do this, it simply must happen a lot of times for him to have learned it. Thanks Bill Gates for teaching my child this new skill and helping him build tolorance for accepting software flaws as the norm. (2004-02-13 10:27:14.0) Permalink Comments [0]

* Dinamica website:
http://www.martincordova.com

Dear Java developers:

A new framework for Java web development has been released, it is called "Dinamica".

Dinamica is 100% Java, J2EE compliant, open source LGPL, powerful and simple, free of charge,
and fully documented and supported.

http://www.waferproject.org/index.html

Wafer is a research project which compares the many open source web application frameworks which are available using a common example application. This research project is designed to compare the application frameworks on a level field by specifying an example application so that the application features become irrelevent and the merits of each framework becomes the focus.

PicoContainer is very simple container for very simple components. It honors the Constructor Dependency Injector form of the Inversion of control pattern (IoC). Components are typically going to live inside the same JVM. The idea is that this scales from embedded containers for simple beans to enterprise and distributed applicagtions
